Al 1968 arribaria el LP doble, conegut popularment com el White Album, encara que els Beatles no van donar-li un nom. Aquesta obra representa el cim pels Beatles – en opinió de molta gent. Ja no es pot superar un album així, i encara que els següents LPs també són bons, no tornarien mai a aquest nivell. Si algú dubta com un mateix grup pot dominar tots els tipus de música, aquest és l’obra per a escoltar. Des del heavy de Helter Skelter, deixant clar als Stones i The Who que els Beatles també sabien “rock out”, fins al humor Hill-Billy de Rocky Raccoon, les dos cançons que escoltarem ara.
